FOOD PANTRY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Summer is here and regular volunteer vacations are
leaving the Food Pantry shorthanded. Help is needed in many ways, but most
especially for the Food Bank of New
Jersey truck delivery on August 10. About 14,000 lbs. of food needs to be carried from the
truck to the shelving area in the Parish House basement. If you are willing to
give the time, it's usually great fun; anyone who can carry 24 lbs. is welcome.
No age restriction, and, actually, the younger the better - 10 years and up.
Food Pantry staff supervises the youth and calls parents when they are
finished. The truck ETA is 8:30 a.m., however this can vary and it can arrive
as late as 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. The more hands we have the shorter the time it
takes to unload. PARENTS and YOUTH please contact us at 908.420.0548 to
volunteer.
DINE TO DONATE COUPONS. Dine at Perkins Restaurant and 10 percent of your bill will be donated to Christ Church. Coupons are located on the table at the back of Church; please take some for yourself, family, and friends.
WE ARE COLLECTING CELL PHONES AND PRINTER CARTIDGES at
the back of the church to benefit Christ Church youth. Please donate
cell phones only; the recycling company does not accept power cords and
other accessories or manuals. Thank you!
