Baptisms at Christ Church
We believe that baptism is the means by which we enter into full relationship with Christ.  It is the free gift of God, who created us because he loves us, and wishes to draw us into relationship with himself as his beloved children. In baptism, we are cleansed of original sin, receive grace to live holy lives, receive the Holy Spirit into our hearts to guide us in learning to love God and one another, and are commissioned to serve others in God’s name.

Here at Christ Church, baptisms for infants, children, and adults are joyfully celebrated during our Sunday morning worship.  It is particularly appropriate for baptisms to happen during the Great Vigil of Easter and on the feasts of All Saints, Pentecost, the Baptism of Our Lord, but we will work to find a date that suits the needs of your family and friends. If you wish to discuss baptism for yourself or your child, please call the Rev. Deborah Meister at 732.545.6262.

Weddings at Christ Church
We believe that Christian marriage provides the context for lifelong growth in faithfulness, love, patience, and grace, and we celebrate such marriages with joy and dignity.  We hope and expect that those of our members who choose to engage in a marriage or other life-long union will choose to do so in a church context. Marriage is a Sacrament which the members of the couple confer on one another in the presence of a priest, and so it is necessary that at least one of the participants have been baptized.

If you are not a member of our congregation, you are welcome to be married here, if you are willing to participate in the life of our community during the time of your preparation for marriage. However, we do not at this time rent out the sanctuary for use by couples seeking to get married by non-Episcopal clergy.

For further information, please contact the Rev. Deborah Meister at 732.545.6262.

Funerals at Christ Church
Christian burial allows us to mourn the loss of our loved ones even as we celebrate their birth into eternal life in Christ Jesus. In the event of a death, please contact the church office (732.545.6262) as soon as possible so that we can make arrangements to honor your loved one according to the rites of the Book of Common Prayer, and to include you in our prayers for consolation.  Funerals and memorial services are provided to members and non-members alike.
