The Hall Education Fund of New Brunswick was established in 1801 by a Christ Church parishioner, William Hall, with the intention of providing educational opportunities for the children of the poor in New Brunswick—there was no public education in those days.
Christ Church is one of the three parishes in New Brunswick, along with The Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick and First Reformed Church, responsible for the administration of the Hall Education Fund, Inc. Today the Fund grants scholarships for post-secondary education to students resident in New Brunswick who otherwise would not likely be able to receive scholarship aid.
