Interfaith Rotating Men’s Shelter
Warmth and welcome during the winter months.
“And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20
Christ Church is proud to be part of the Interfaith Rotating Shelter. This ministry offers overnight shelter to men in New Brunswick during the winter months, when permanent shelters in the community cannot meet the increased demand for overnight shelter. Learn more about the work of this ministry through local news coverage!
The ministry's needs include volunteers to sleep over at the church (or at other houses or worship), dinners, volunteers to clean up and help move on Sunday mornings, and volunteers to launder sheets and pillowcases. If you are interested in volunteering to assist with this program when it occurs, please email Jason Kaelber, Christ Church’s coordinator for this important ministry. We encourage men who need shelter for the winter to call 211 as the winter approaches and make sure they have up-to-date contact information on file so that we can reach them in early December.
